American Eagle Airlines
As far as marketing a business goes, a strong brand image is undeniably an important and invaluable asset in terms of building an unmistakable and distinctive image. It is unsurprising therefore that many companies continue to use brand images as a commodity that can be traded and shared for mutual benefit. For example, American Eagle Airlines is a strong branded name that is used by the company that was formerly known as Simmons Airlines. The company switched names in successful efforts to restyle itself and its image.
The company is headquartered in the southern American state of Texas from the city of Fort Worth. The brand image is however, shared with Executive Airlines which is based in San Juan; the capital city of the country Puerto Rico. The two companies operate under the brand logo to provide commercial passenger air services as affiliates of the umbrella compnay American AIrlines. Furthermore, American Eagle Airlines, Executive Airlines and American Airlines are all owned entirely as subsidiary companies of the AMR Corp. As such, all three airlines operate using the same flight codes and signals, and share equal benefits from the brands powerful and distinctive image.
The Eagle branch of the group operates more than one thousand and eight hundred flights every day, providing flights to one hundred and fifty-nine destinations across the Americas including cities in the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada and the rest of the United States. As such, the company is generally contested to be the largest regional operating airline in the entire world.
The company has seven different hubs from which it operates almost all of its flights. These include; Los Angeles, the Kennedy and La Guardia airports in New York, San Juan in Puerto Rico, Miami, Dallas-Fort Worth and Chicago-O’Hare International Airport.
The airport is planning new venture for 2012, with the implementation of non stop flights that will operate twice every day between Chicago-O’Hare International Airport and the city of Charlottesville in the state of Virgina. This service is expected to commence on the 9th of June.
As well as providing a wide number of flights throughout the Americas, the company also supplements its customer base by utilising other aspects of its business model. As well as the aforementioned brand image, the airline combines its network of travel destinations with reputable in-flight services. As such, passengers travelling both domestically and internationally with the airline are given the chance to purchase food and drinks on board at reasonable prices.
